Nõel Coward once wrote “Travel, they say, improves the mind…” A very true and inspiring notion, which I whole-heartedly and abscribe to.
Case or place in mind: Florence . I thoroughly recommend and suggest a visit to this enchanting Italian city – however by all means be there off-season in the spring or Autumn and thereby not in the throes of millions of tourists and long lines to museums, etc.
The Palazzo Belfiore and Palazzo San Niccoló are two properties worthy of the highest most accolade in that they are residence apartments where elegance, relaxation and comfort are but three of many descriptive words that come to mind!
I had the pleasure of spending two nights at each property, both of which I would gladly live in on a more permanent basis if I had the chance.
Federico, AnnaLisa and Isabelle are three gracious hosts who have the “welcome” embossed in every way, shape and form and are on hand for any concern or question tbat may arise.
I stayed in the Erta Canina duplex apartment at the San Niccolô garden flat and at the Belfiore, the ground floor apartment, both luxurious and centrally located.
Florence is a walkable and easy to get around city with restaurants, museums and attractions close-by to both properties. For dining, I suggest the Osteria Badalî at the piazza San Niccolô and the Osteria Antica Mescita on Via San Niccolô. Authentic and not expensive typical Florentine food. Delicioso!
Definitely an Authentic Florentine Experience, as outlined in their brochure.
